The 106th Fleet has a public chat channel in-game that is available for the public to utilize to maintain contact with us. The same rules apply to this chat channel as our "Hailing Frequencies" forum does on our website.
- Strictly NO SPAMMING, NO SWEARING or the use of place cards for swear words
- Keep topics to a PG-13 rating
- DO NOT post workarounds, exploits or cheats
- DO NOT advertise for other channels, to join fleets, etc. Organizing events is ok.
- Member farming is not allowed
- We don't want systematic bullying or abuse
- No post may condone or promote any illegal or reckless activity
- Only post hyperlinks that are safe
- Use common sense
Inappropriate members may be removed depending on their content, by the channel moderators.
If you are uncertain or unsure of something then ask a member of the team before you join, we will happily advise you over any questions you may have concerning the channel rules.
The Argus Array:
The Argus Array was a Federation subspace telescope that was in service in the mid-24th century. The Array was located three light years from Cardassian space.
The Argus Array malfunctioned in 2367, following contact with a Cytherian probe, which disrupted the Array's computer systems. The problem was fixed by the USS Enterprise-D.
The Enterprise-D visited the Argus Array again in 2370 after it stopped sending data for the third time in a year. During this visit, the Enterprise also installed a long range subspace communications relay. The 106th Fleet utilizes this subspace communications relay to keep in contact with everyone in the galaxy...
Here's how to join...
First, right click any tab on your chat box.
On this box below that pops up on your screen, click on the "Channels" Tab
When you did the above step, you will get this box below. Type "Argus_Array" (without quotes) in the type box and hit the button to the right "JOIN".
Thats it! You have joined the channel. You should now see "Argus_Array" in your list of available channels. Welcome to the 106th Fleet Public Chat!

Due to Cryptic's lack of assitance (and the fact they just don't want to help it seems) the 106th Fleet public channel has been updated to a new channel. There were some technically difficulties with the old channel, but this new channel should solve those problems.
Be sure to join the channel. I look forward to speaking with you...

This channel is being moved from "Argus Array" to "Argus_Array" (with an underscore). This is to allow external chat clients to gain access to the channel when not in game. Currently, spaces in channel names only work in the game and not in an external client. This is to alleviate this problem.
Once you switch over, leave the old channel please. Joining to the old channel at this point will be prohibited. The new channel will have the same setup and permissions as the old channel.
Thanks!
